PRIVACY AND TRANSPARENCY
Privacy policy
What happens to information when you read, search, adjust the display or contact the antiques project.

Scope and responsibility
This policy describes the site owned by Jonathan Santo and the features of this release. Reading requires no account, registration, name or email. The site code has no analytics, advertising, mailing list, purchases or document-upload form.
Server requests and search
Your browser requests pages from a server. Hosting and security or intermediary services, including Cloudflare if enabled for the domain, may process IP addresses, times, page addresses, browser information and security data to deliver and protect the site. Provider settings, processing locations and log-retention periods have not been verified here; this is not a promise of unlogged browsing.
Search terms and filters appear in the page address and are sent to the server to produce results. They may appear in browser history and infrastructure-provider logs. Do not enter personal information, passwords or confidential information in search.
Preferences stored on your device
Accessibility tools adjust the current page. By default, choices are not saved when you move to another page. Only explicitly choosing to remember preferences stores display settings and whether you have hidden the information notice in your browser. The tool does not send these settings to the server or include a name, email, tracking identifier or browsing history.
Preferences use browser local storage, rather than an HTTP cookie. Revoking the remember option removes the stored value while keeping your current-page choices. Delete and reset removes it and restores defaults. The cookies page explains the distinction and storage limits.
Information you send by email
Messages to [email protected] pass through your email provider to the project’s contact mailbox. Your address and message are needed to reply, check a correction, assess a rights request or investigate a problem. The site has no form collecting your enquiry before your email application opens. Send only relevant information; identity documents and sensitive data are unnecessary.
Errors and external sources
The application may record error details in a private maintenance log, separate from the hosting provider’s access logs. Fonts and images are served by the site itself. Following an external source or publisher link takes you to a service with its own policy; the project does not control that service’s data retention.
Requests and updates
For a privacy question or a request to identify, access, correct or delete information you have supplied, email the contact address and describe your request. It will be assessed under applicable law and against information actually held by the project. Removing browser preferences does not remove infrastructure logs or email correspondence. This policy does not promise deletion of records outside the project’s control or records that must be retained.
A new collection feature, measurement service or form would require this description to be updated and the information and choice process to be assessed separately. The update date is shown at the top of the page.
If the browser blocks saving or deletion, the tool shows a message and adjustments can remain temporary on the current page. When deletion fails, clear the site data in your browser settings; do not assume the record was removed until the action succeeds.
