Coastal studies in this volume include underwater coin hoards from Megadim, a cemetery at Palmahim, sites on Ashdod’s southern beach and assemblages from Ashqelon. The Ashdod publications also include petrography and botanical remains. Reading them alongside the excavation report helps distinguish observations about the site itself from evidence used to discuss its environment and connections.
